Mr. DeMato has conducted thousands of hours of surveillance in the areas
of insurance fraud, child custody, workplace issues, intellectual property/copyright
infringement, domestic partnerships/marital/divorce proceedings, missing
persons, residency requirements, and private sectorlitigation. He has successfully
developed and implemented unique technology-driven surveillance methods
previously unheard of in the private sector, enabling our clients to acquire
the preponderance of evidence needed to reach their investigative goals
within legal parameters - evidence whos eacquisition and chain of custody
stands up to courtroom scrutiny. While many investigative companies take
short cuts and operate in a morally grey zone, Chris ensures that TAGW
focuses on implementing surveillance in a fundamentally sound, consistent,
innovative manner that saves the client both time and money.
Previous to joining TAGW, Chris passionately taught and coached in Chicago's
private and public schools. His experience in education and ability to
relate well to a diverse audience make him a natural as our Basic Life
Support/CPR/AEDinstructor, where his students 'our clients' appreciate
his sense of humor, his patience, and his willingness to take the extra
steps to ensure their complete confidence in their training. He also teaches
the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
required 20-Hour P.E.R.C.course. Additionally, Chris oversees our investigative
internship program.
Chris directs the background investigations section at TAGW. His investigative
research skills are utilized by attorneys, corporations, third-party
administrators, and insurance companies for matters ranging from the new-hireprocess
to disciplinary matters. Additionally, he works with families to ensure
the hiring of nannies and caretakers with clear backgrounds, and with participants
in the on-line dating realm to ensure that their potential relationships
are based on honest information. His relentless pursuit of difficult-to-locate
individuals has made him invaluable in process service of court orders
and summons and makes TAGW a preferred vendor of many attorneys and individuals.
Chris is also a member of the Reid Institute, having completed the Advanced
Interview and Interrogation course taught by world-renowned John. E. Reid
and Associates. To this effect, he personally consults our clients and
conducts interviews regarding employee theft, sexual harassment, child/elderly
abuse, workplace issues including misuse of company equipment and internet
crimes, insurance/worker's compensation claims, trade secret and proprietary
violations, background investigations, and other matters.
Additionally, Chris serves as a sworn law enforcement officer for a southwest
suburban police department. He has exceeded training standards, holds certifications,
and is extremely proficient with automatic carbines/rifles,shotgun, and
many sidearms.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys participating in fund-raising activities
for many non-profit organizations, most focused around medical research
